Marina Bay Sands has signed a sustainability partnership with WWF to raise the benchmark for sustainable sourcing in the hospitality industry.

From banning shark’s fin in 2014 to not using seafood in the ‘Avoid’ List of WWF Singapore’s Seafood Guide, the venue continued its efforts in 2017, ensuring that 100 per cent of its salmon, tilapia, prawns, mussels, lobsters and oysters are now procured from sustainable sources.

Together with WWF, the venue have also committed to support four fish farms in Malaysia in its journey towards sustainable farming through environmental measures, as well as to generate a positive social impact on their local community.

Building on its status as an ISO 20121 certified venue, Marina Bay Sands is working with WWF to further strengthen our existing Sands ECO3600 MICE programme over the next year.
