ReedPOP Australia and the Australian Toy Association have announced the launch of Play World Australia.

This event for parents and children is scheduled to take place at the new International Convention Centre in Sydney between 29-30 September 2018.

Play World will include the latest toys and games on the market in four zones: Imagination Zone, Future Zone, Superstar Zone and Nature Zone.

The zones will also feature entertainment on huge stages, popular TV and film characters, previews of upcoming movie releases, superheroes, dress ups/role playing, toys, games, music, books, dinosaurs and animals, science and more.

Everything at Play World is designed to be interactive; to stimulate and challenge little minds in a fun, creative and, most importantly, safe environment.

Brian Thomas, managing director, Reed Exhibitions said: “Play World Australia is a natural extension to our current events within the Australian ReedPOP portfolio. We already work with many of the world’s leading, interactive brands within PAX Aus and Oz Comic-Con, but we realised that there seems to be a gap in the live, interactive entertainment and educational space for kids between the ages of 3 and 10.”

Gabby Anderson, executive manager, Australian Toy Association added: “Play World is a celebration of play and entertainment, an interactive immersive event, that unites the toy and games industry with leading brands, connecting them directly with families to create fun, engaging, rewarding and memorable experiences. We are right behind promoting the Value of Play to the Australian public, and enlighten parents to the importance of play in children’s development, both socially and educationally. We believe Play World to be an excellent vehicle with which to stimulate young minds.”

Play World Australia’s inaugural event will sit alongside Oz Comic-Con Sydney and hopes to attract more than 12,000 attendees.
