Messe Frankfurt acquires RosMould

Messe Frankfurt has expanded its technology  portfolio with RosMould.

Messe Frankfurt is boosting its technology fair portfolio with the addition of RosMould, the international trade fair for mould-making, prototyping and 3-D technologies.

The purchase agreement was signed by the fair’s owner, Moldexpo LLC, and Mesago Messe Frankfurt GmbH, part of the Messe Frankfurt Group.

As Dmitry Sorokorensky, managing director of Moldexpo LLC, explains: “Russia remains one of the countries that has great potential for economic growth and trade fair business. On the market, there is a growing demand for machine tools for key sectors such as energy generation, transport, automotive engineering and agriculture. Since 2006, RosMould has been bringing together experts from a wide cross-section of sectors and showcasing innovative solutions relating to the design and manufacture of products and prototyping equipment as well as the production of moulds, die moulds and stamps. Messe Frankfurt is one of the key players on the trade fair market and has expertise in many different business fields. Its experience will be instrumental in the further development of RosMould.”

Uwe Behm, Member of the Executive Board of Messe Frankfurt, adds: “The decision to acquire RosMould is consistent with and fortuitous for our efforts to expand our company portfolio. A great many of our activities are geared towards technology trade fairs. With RosMould, we are strengthening our expertise in the field of moulding technologies. In addition to Asiamold in Guangzhou and Formnext in Frankfurt, RosMould now allows us to offer our customers another trade fair event in a promising market of the future.”

Messe Frankfurt RUS is the Moscow-based subsidiary of the international trade fair group. Its portfolio includes nine international trade fair and forum brands in Moscow, Kazan and Astana. Events like Modern Bakery Moscow, Interlight Moscow powered by Light+Building, Comtrans and Heimtextil Russia are among the leading trade fairs in Russia and the CIS states.

The Russian branch office organises two national Chinese trade fairs that were initiated by the government of the People’s Republic Of China – the China Commodity Fair and the China Machinery Fair.

The next RosMould is scheduled to take place between 19 and 21 June 2018 as part of the IEC Crocus Expo.
