ECEF's annual networking and information sharing event will take place in Washington, D.C. CEO Sam Lippman gives us the lowdown

The exhibition industry has a full calendar of gatherings, from gala award ceremonies to multi-day conferences with dozens of sessions. As far as we can tell, there’s nothing quite like ECEF for its ability to summon together the executives who own and operate the United States exhibition industry.

If you’re not familiar with ECEF, think of it this way: What Davos is to the agenda of multinational corporations, ECEF is to the U.S. exhibition industry. While anyone can register, every registration is carefully vetted and only a few more than 200 top-level decision-makers are accepted.

ECEF stands for Exhibition and Convention Executives Forum, and although it annually gathers the executives who are actively looking for new directions and fresh opportunities, for 15 years it has largely escaped the attention of deal makers outside the U.S.
