UBM Asia extends executive VP's role

UBM has revealed that Michael Duck, executive VP of UBM Asia, will take on the additional role of UBM group chief representative for China with immediate effect, succeeding Philip Chapnick.

Duck brings 30 years of business experience in China, the majority of it in the exhibition industry. He is also director and treasurer of UFI, based in Paris.

Duck will be supported by Hellen (Honglei) Zhang, UBM senior manager, based in Beijing.

Michael joined UBM Asia in 1994, and is responsible for UBM Asia’s fashion, beauty and maritime groups and for the trade fair business in India. He is also a director of UBM Sinoexpo International Exhibition Co Ltd, based in Shanghai.

Duck is a member of Executive Committee of the Hong Kong Exhibition and Convention Industry Association and a member of the Asia & Africa and Retail & Tourism Committees of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce.
