Melbourne renews Reed AIME management contract for three years

Melbourne Convention Bureau (MCB) and Reed Travel Exhibitions (Reed) have renewed their partnership to produce the Asia-Pacific Incentives and Meetings Expo (AIME) for a further three years – until 2018.

Reed signed the new management contracts this week with the show’s owners MCB.

Reed divisional director Nick Pilbeam and MCB CEO Karen Bolinger both said they were “excited” by the possibilities that a new multi-year partnership would generate.

Pilbeam said that Reed, with its 23 travel trade events in 15 countries including AIME, was well placed to take the tradeshow to the next level.

“We know this show inside out and we are thrilled to continue to work with one of Australia’s leading bureaux; one that is so deeply committed to the business events industry. AIME is a prestigious event that brings local and international visitors to Melbourne every year to learn, share and grow, and we are dedicated to its continued success,” said Pilbeam.

Bolinger said AIME was entering a new era.

“The value brought by Reed as an organiser is integral to the continued growth and success of AIME. Their established insider knowledge, coupled with our strong existing relationships, will ensure a seamless event experience for everyone involved,” she added.

A new advisory board has been charged with shaping the vision of the 2016 show, the 24th AIME, which takes place in Melbourne, 23–24 February.
