Just days after celebrating Montgomery’s 120th birthday, its subsidiary, Exhibition Consultants, has partnered with talent consultancy tfconnect to launch a one-stop-shop advisory service for exhibition venues and organisers.
Montgomery tfconnect (MTP) partnership will provide strategic consulting, market analysis and talent acquisition services to venue owners.
Sandy Angus (pictured, left), chairman of Montgomery and director of Exhibition Consultants, said the partnership was founded on decades of corporate experience.
“There is a need for venues to review their space, assess how it is used, how it can be used more creatively and how it should be modernised to host the events of today and tomorrow," Angus said.
“By joining hands with Trevor Foley, we can go further and provide client venues with a top executive team that can seamlessly carry forward optimal management.”
MTP will work with venue owners to devise strategies to improve performance and build executive management teams - comprising contract and permanent staff - to lead launches, redevelopment and major event projects.

MTP’s partnership companies previously worked together as advisors to the Wasps RFC during the rugby team’s move to Coventry. The move included the acquisition and re-launch of Coventry’s Ricoh Arena, including its exhibition and conference facilities.
Wasps RFC appointed tfconnect as a recruitment partner, which led to the appointment of Andy Gibb as group managing director and financial director.
