EEAA Board election results

AUSTRALASIA – The Exhibition and Event Association of Australasia (EEAA) has appointed seven members to its board at the association’s recent Annual General Meeting.

EEAA members met at the Sydney Royal Stables, Sydney Showground Last week (28 May), for a day of workshops and meetings.

Domenic Genua, EEAA president, told the meeting the goal of the association’s five-year strategy was to lift the expo sector’s profile within the marketing industry to attract more business.

“This is a major challenge and one that the association has made a priority. A strategic repositioning of the sector is what is needed – it can be done. That’s our industry’s challenge,” Genua said.

“All efforts, be it advocacy, research, marketing, education programs, or the simple delivery of market intelligence must point to providing you with an opportunity to improve your business position.

“I am proud of our association work and it remains very focussed, nimble in responding to issues, stable membership and staffing, strong in our financial position – and most of all, highly engaged with the membership,” he added.

Genua said EEAA member feedback showed there was a high degree of satisfaction with the association.
