Amsterdam Rai to host Euro Attractions Show 2014

EUROPE - The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) has announced its annual Euro Attractions Show (EAS) is moving to the Netherlands in 2014.

The peripatetic show was hailed a success this year, setting records for the size of the exhibition as well as the number of visitors and exhibitors, said the organiser.

EAS 2013 was held on 18-20 September at the Port de Versailles Convention Centre in Paris, and attracted 8,500 industry professionals, up from 8,100 in 2012.

Around 393 exhibitors from more than 40 countries showcased their products and services at EAS, up from 367 at the last show held at Messe Berlin. The IAAPA said the 2013 show saw a 10 per cent increase on last year’s 9,043sqm of exhibition space.

Operators of amusement parks, zoos, museums, indoor playgrounds, casinos, and holiday parks attended the show, featuring trends and new attractions for the 2014 summer season.

EAS 2013 showcased new innovations including multi-dimensional cinemas, roller coasters with integrated multimedia, and integrated theming products. A conference programme was held alongside the exhibition, organised by the IAAPA Europe Education Sub-Committee, and provided more than 20 hours of attractions industry learning.

The next edition of Euro Attractions will take place on 23-25 September 2014 at Amsterdam RAI.

According to the organiser, more than 230 companies have already reserved 7,800sqm of exhibition space.

The IAAPA claimed its Asian Attractions Expo also had a record year in 2013.
