Development at Pune as PCNTDA pitches for more exhibition centre land

ASIA - The Pimpri Chinchwad New Township Development Authority (PCNTDA) is to accelerate the land acquisition process for the Pune International Exhibition Centre in Moshi, India.
 
According to The Times of India newspaper, PCNTDA chief executive Yogesh Mhase, has confirmed the status of Pune International Exhibition Centre project is under review.
 
The venue is planned to be developed on 97 hectares of land in Moshi by either the PCNTDA or a team specifically created for the project.
 
Mhase said that 110 hectares of land have been reserved in Moshi for the project, of which PCNTDA is in possession of 74 hectares. The process to acquire the remaining land is underway.
 
According to the Times, a proposal has been submitted to gain possession of more than 15 hectares of government land, a proposal that will be followed up by the district collector. Plans are also underway to acquire 4.48 hectares of private land, alongside PCNTDA plans to get 133 officials and employees from the government for implementing the exhibition centre project.
