SCOTLAND - Mara Media has launched a new fishing exhibition for the Scottish fishing and processing industry.
The Scottish Skipper Expo 2011 will be held 24-25 June 2011 at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre.
Having run and built up the Irish Skipper Expo over the past six years, Mara Media was approached by suppliers and fishermen within the Scottish fishing industry with a view to launching a new exhibition. The organiser chose Aberdeen as the location, as it places the event within a short distance of the main fishing ports.
The Irish Skipper’s sales manager Sharon Boyle says: “We are delighted to draw on our years of experience in the fishing industry to put an event together that has the backing of the Scottish industry. From fishing backgrounds and having built up close relationships within the industry over the past 10 years, we are confident in running a show that will bring a great business dynamic back to the industry.”
