New chairman announced at Chicago Convention and Tourism Bureau

USA – The mayor of Chicago, Richard M.Daley, has announced the new chairman of the Chicago Convention and Tourism Bureau (CCTB).

Bruce Rauner, currently principle and chairman of private equity firm GTCR, will become chairman of the CCTB and is charged with helping to “restore Chicago’s competitive edge” following changes to the management structure and services of the region’s convention facilities.

"I want Bruce to continue to play a major role in keeping Chicago at the top of a very competitive business," adds Daley. "Together with the McPier Board, the CCTB is responsible for keeping our momentum going in the convention and tourism industry."
