Cathay Pacific launches Apple iPad application

HONG KONG - Hong Kong-based carrier Cathay Pacific has joined the iPad bandwagon with the introduction of its own free-to-download application for handset users.

The CX Mobile application, which complements the airlines iPhone, Windows Mobile and Blackberry applications, allows users access to the airline’s services such as the ability to make flight bookings, check-in and update flight status and schedules.

“Cathay Pacific has been working hard on developing its mobile services and we are delighted to offer iPad users the ability to book their flights directly from their device,” says Cathay Pacific GM of marketing, James Ginns.

CX Mobile also links users to Marco Polo Club information, which provides information and city guides for more that 70 destinations.
