Exhibitions provide platform for defence industry agreements

WORLD - ADS, the UK’s aerospace, defence and security trade organisation, recently visited Canada’s leading sector exhibition CANSEC to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with its USA and Canadian counterparts.

ADS CEO, Rees Ward, met his equivalents from the National Defense Industrial Association and the Canadian Association of Defence and Security Industries to sign the MoU. Ten ADS UK member companies held B2B meetings to explore opportunities with US and Canadian sector companies.

"As one of the few British industrial sectors in which the country occupies a world-leading position, defence is seeking to add value to the economy by boosting overseas sales," says Ward.

"The MoU between us will provide the framework for ongoing collaboration between our organisations and their members. I hope that this visit will be the first of many and ADS look forward in particular to welcoming them to the Farnborough International Airshow exhibition in July," he adds.
