WORLD - New group exhibition director for Reed Travel Exhibitions’ meetings and events portfolio, Craig Moyes, says the travel sector has been Reed’s most resilient following the recession.
“Reed organises hundreds of events across the world, and last year was a challenge,” he tells EW at the opening of GIBTM at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).
“Some of Reed’s shows suffered badly, but travel has been the group’s most resilient sector,” Moyes says.
“Life was difficult for exhibition business last year. However, business is starting to come back and green shoots of recovery are already showing,” he believes.
GIBTM runs until 31 March 2010.
